About Anthony Bazzan, M.D.
Pennsylvania Bioidentical Doctor, Anthony Bazzan, M.D. is originally from Verona and graduated from medical school in Padua, Italy. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. He holds licenses from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and West Virginia.
Anthony Bazzan, M.D. is the Director of the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health at Jefferson in Villanova, Pennsylvania. Dr. Bazzan is an attending physician at the Jefferson Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine, on the medical staff at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and he is in the division of Internal Medicine with a faculty position at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.
Dr. Bazzan is an Associate Clinical Member at the Jefferson Kimmel Cancer Center. He has held other positions, including at the Emergency Department of Frankford Aria Health Hospital, as consulting internal medicine and geriatrics physician at the Philadelphia Geriatric Center (affiliated with Temple University), and at Friends Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. His training includes cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, and emergency medicine. He has also spent time researching basic vascular health, with an emphasis on blood lipids.
His previous faculty appointments included the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, the University of West Virginia School of Medicine, and Hampshire Memorial Hospital in West Virginia, where he was chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and treasurer of medical staff. Pennsylvania Bioidentical Doctor, Anthony J. Bazzan, M.D., is the recipient of the “Tree of Life Award,” and was awarded a Congratulation Citation from the Pennsylvania Senate, given for outstanding service to the community. Dr. Bazzan is the coauthor of “The Great Life Makeover” a popular Harper Collins book about how diet, fitness and stress affect your life and relationships.
Dr. Bazzan’s practice of meditation spurred an interest in Oriental Medicine and philosophy, which has led him over the years to an understanding of health and related issues broader than the conventional medical model:
